Abstract

Daun Psidium guajava adalah bahan baku alami yang mengandung senyawa bioaktif, salah satunya adalah  tanin. Tanin digunakan pada berbagai industri seperti tekstil, farmasi, kosmetik, dan makanan. Penelitian ini  bertujuan untuk mempelajari pengaruh waktu ekstraksi dan rasio solid-liquid terhadap kandungan tanin ekstrak  daun Psidium guajava. Daun segar dan kering diekstraksi dengan etanol dengan perbandingan solid-liquid 1/20  dan 1/60 (b/v). Temperatur ekstraksi pada suhu 80 °C dan waktu ekstraksi 30, 45, 60, 75, dan 90 menit. Kadar  tanin tertinggi diperoleh pada pada waktu 60 menit dan perbandingan solid-liquid 1/20 (b/v) masing-masing  sekitar 17 % dan 12 % untuk sampel daun kering dan basah. Sebaliknya, penambahan rasio pelarut tidak  memberikan dampak yang signifikan terhadap peningkatan kandungan tanin yang diekstraksi. Penelitian ini  menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan waktu ekstraksi meningkatkan perpindahan massa tanin sampai tercapai  tahap kesetimbangan.
