Abstract

Sandblasting waste for concrete additional material purposes has been used due to seeking for alternate way to overcome environmental issues around the factory caused by the factory itself. Moreover, by using it could oppressed the cost to overcome the issues. In this study the material required to concrete mixed was Lumajang sand, cement, sandblasting waste material which has 0%; 30%; and 40% in variation, also the admixture CONSOL SS-8 (Concrete Solution SS-8). The purposes of this study was to find out the effect of sandblasting waste within the concrete mixture towards the physical properties of the conrete itself such as; weight, specific gravity, compressive strength, the absorbtion value, and also the slump value which using the sandblasting before and after the admixture CONSOL SS 8 was use in each variation. The result show that the subtitution of sandblasting waste material affect the value of compressive strength in concrete mixture. In 30% and 40% the average compressive strength increase 15% and 9% each from the 0% of conrete variation. While the addition of admixture CONSOL SS-8 the slump value increasing for about 50 % in average This result compatible to the purposes to add the admixture material which was to ease the implementation of casting by dilute the concrete mixture without adding more water and the compressive strength should increase.
