Pemilihan Penerima Beasiswa Program Kuliah Gratis Kalteng Berkah Menggunakan Algoritma Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) di Politeknik Muara Teweh

Abstract

Pemerintah Provinsi Kalimantan Tengah, melalui Dinas Pendidikan, telah meluncurkan program beasiswa Kuliah Gratis Kalteng Berkah, bertujuan untuk memberikan akses pendidikan kepada masyarakat Kalimantan Tengah, khususnya bagi mereka dari keluarga dengan keterbatasan ekonomi. Program ini memberikan kesempatan bagi individu untuk melanjutkan pendidikan di perguruan tinggi, baik negeri atau swasta, di area Provinsi Kalimantan Tengah. Tingginya minat terhadap beasiswa Kalteng Berkah menjadi tantangan bagi pengelola dalam memilih penerima yang pantas. Saat ini, proses seleksi beasiswa di Politeknik Muara Teweh masih dilakukan secara manual, yang mengakibatkan pengambilan keputusan menjadi kurang efisien. Diperlukan sebuah sistem pendukung keputusan untuk mempercepat dan mempermudah seleksi sesuai kriteria yang ditetapkan. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah Simple Additive Weighting (SAW), yang dikenal sederhana dan tidak rumit, serta mampu memberikan analisis akurat dan tepat dengan bobot referensi dan kriteria yang telah ditetapkan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisa penerapan algoritma SAW pada pemilihan beasiswa Program Kuliah Gratis Kalteng Berkah di Politeknik Muara Teweh, dengan harapan dapat mempercepat dan mempermudah proses seleksi. Dalam penelitian ini, perhitungan bobot dilakukan melalui penjumlahan terbobot dari setiap atribut dan alternatif. Hasil perankingan dihasilkan dari semua alternatif yang ada, untuk memilih mahasiswa yang berhak mendapatkan beasiswa tersebut. Kesimpulannya, pengunaan metode SAW untuk menentukan penerima beasiswa di Politeknik Muara Teweh dapat meningkatkan efisiensi dan efektivitas proses seleksi.

The Central Kalimantan Provincial Government, through the Education Office, has launched the Kalteng Berkah Free Lecture Scholarship program, aimed at providing access to education for the people of Central Kalimantan, especially for those from families with economic limitations. This program provides an opportunity for individuals to continue their education at universities, both public and private, in the Central Kalimantan Province area. The high interest in the Kalteng Berkah scholarship is a challenge for managers in selecting appropriate recipients. Currently, the scholarship selection process at the Muara Teweh Polytechnic is still carried out manually, which results in less efficient decision-making. A decision support system is needed to speed up and simplify the selection according to the established criteria. The method in this study is Simple Additive Weighting (SAW), which is known to be simple and uncomplicated, and is able to provide accurate and precise analysis with reference weights and established criteria. The purpose of this study is to analyze the application of the SAW algorithm in the selection of the Kalteng Berkah Free Lecture Scholarship Program at the Muara Teweh Polytechnic, with the hope of accelerating and simplifying the selection process. In this study, the weight calculation is carried out through the weighted summation of each attribute and alternative. The ranking results are generated from all existing alternatives, to select students who are entitled to the scholarship. In conclusion, the use of the SAW method to determine scholarship recipients at Muara Teweh Polytechnic can increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the selection process.
