Abstract

This community service program aims to improve the community's understanding and skills in plant cultivation using hydroponic methods as an efficient and environmentally friendly urban farming solution. This activity was carried out in Bunder Village by involving local community groups, particularly farmers, housewives, and the younger generation. The methods used included socialization, training, and assistance in implementing a simple hydroponic system. This activity is expected to increase the production of healthy food, optimize limited land, and empower the community's economy through hydroponic harvests. The results of this activity show an increase in participants' understanding of hydroponics and their ability to apply this technology independently. In addition, there has been an increase in community interest in developing sustainable agriculture. Thus, this program is expected to become a model in developing hydroponics as a solution for urban agriculture and community economic empowerment.
