Abstract

Application of an arithmetic circuit (Op-Amp) as a PID controller in controlling the speed of an electric motor. PID control uses three main components, namely proportional (P), integral (I), and differential (D). Op-Amp is used to implement these components into the circuit. The literature study examines the basics of AC circuits, resistors, capacitors, inductors, grounding, operational amplifiers, and PID controllers in calculating input impedance, base current, collector current, and collector voltage of a transistor. The circuit implementation includes an error meter, a PID controller, and an actuator. This analysis includes calculating the performance of the AC circuit and explaining the implementation of an electric motor speed controller with the PID method using an operational amplifier.
