Authorship and Contributorship
ELKOLIND follows the principle of fairness in its Code of Ethics: authorship rights are given to those who are entitled to them.
Who should be an author
An author is a person who has made a substantial intellectual contribution to the work, namely:
- conception or design of the work, or the acquisition, analysis, or interpretation of data;
- drafting the manuscript or revising it critically for important content;
- approval of the final version to be published; and
- agreement to be accountable for the accuracy and integrity of the work.
People who contributed in other ways, such as technical help, supervision without intellectual input, or funding, should be named in the acknowledgments rather than listed as authors.
Rules for authors
- All authors are listed in the manuscript, with the main author first and with the corresponding author clearly identified. Names are written without academic titles.
- Gift, guest, and ghost authorship are not accepted.
- Requests to add, remove, or reorder authors after submission must be sent to the editor in writing, with the agreement of all authors. The editor decides whether the change is accepted.
- All authors are responsible for the content they submit. All authors sign the Publication Ethics Statement Form when the manuscript is declared accepted.
Authors are encouraged to state each author's contribution in the manuscript, for example in the acknowledgments section.
