Intellectual Property
JARTEL respects intellectual property rights and expects authors, reviewers, and readers to do the same.
Ownership
Authors retain copyright of their articles. By submitting, authors grant JARTEL a non-exclusive right to publish the article first and to distribute it under the CC BY 4.0 license.
Third-Party Material
Authors are responsible for obtaining written permission to reproduce figures, tables, photographs, or other material owned by third parties, and must cite the source. Material that cannot be used under CC BY 4.0 must be clearly marked with its own license terms.
Patents and Commercial Inventions
Authors who plan to file a patent for an invention described in their manuscript should do so before submission, since publication may affect novelty. Publication in JARTEL does not transfer patent rights. Patent applications related to the work should be disclosed in the Conflict of Interest statement.
Software, Trademarks, and Product Names
Trademarks and product names must be used accurately and acknowledged where appropriate. Source code shared with an article should carry an open-source license chosen by the authors.
Infringement
Suspected infringement of intellectual property, including plagiarism, will be handled according to the Plagiarism Policy and the Allegation of Research Misconduct procedure.
